Pro-AI mod bans me from a bunch of communities I never even heard of because he didn’t like my criticism of the fake slop that isn’t art which he posts.

    They run a community about hating corporate ai and a bunch of corporate ai communities. I see they outsourced 100% of their brain function to Slop Defecation

      Seems mostly Stable Diffusion, which is open source with corporate backing, but I also found the distinction kind of silly. Like, you hate AI if it’s owned by Meta and OpenAI and whatnot, but it’s cool as long as you can use it locally? Still have a lot of ethical implications, although it’s admittedly marginally better.

        It’s all slop which steals from artists. Just because they’re “anarchists” doesn’t give them the right to steal art from other people!

      Stable Diffusion isn’t a company, but also, if you’re heavily invested in one side of the argument, controlling your opposition is the best possible outcome. You allow regular dissent because that’s irrelevant and changes nothing, but when actual controversy happens, you can kill it instantly.

      The exact same thing happens all over the world all the time, it’s called controlled opposition.
