    Not all of us live in fear. Statistics are in your favor that almost all of us will never have a gun pulled on us. Carrying your own deadly weapon gives you a higher chance of harming innocents than successfully protecting yourself, and you’re just increasing the likelihood of escalating to someone being killed.

    I have a hard time with this story since she clearly did the right thing to defend herself from an aggressor. But someone ended up dead. Permanent. If she did not have the weapon, most likely both would still live and the legal system would be an option
