I was in the same boat about 12 years ago. Linux was much more difficult to get working well back then, but now, it’s just slightly more work than windows.

I learned by trial and error and I don’t keep any sensitive files on my OS hard drive, so if I screw up, I don’t lose anything.

For instance, someone recommended Endeavor OS a few weeks back and I had never heard of it. After using it for a week, I realized the arch community and OS isn’t for me and I’m more of a beginner. So I switched over to mint Cinnamon which I use on my Plex server. Got everything setup and working within and hour and I don’t have any issues like I did on my past Linux distros.

It’s super easy to use these days and I love it!

I’m sure at least 25% of us are here because all of our years old accounts were permabanned for “inciting violence” which they use as a blanket term for posts they don’t like against the administration.

It’s really easy. I had no microsoldering skills before, but Ive soldered many other parts so I have experience. I’ve modded 6 Xboxes for friends and family and now I can do one in about 30 minutes including flashing the NAND.

Many people are going the bad update route where you must softmod the Xbox Everytime you turn it on. Sometimes it takes 20 seconds, sometimes you have to try 10 or 15 times to get the mod to work. The people behind bad update are working on it constantly, so who knows, they may find a way to make it boot instantly 100% of the time.

But for now hard modding and soldering are the best permanent ways to mod the Phat and Slim models of the Xbox 360.

I just modded mine after not playing it for years. I forgot just how insane the library is for it and how great the graphics hold up in 2025.

Its also so nice to actually own games and not have them taken away from some license BS.

It’s not true if you live in a deep red state. They treat politics like football teams and REFUSE to ever change parties because their whole family tree has voted red, so they won’t change it.

Also most pastors here are hard MAGA and think gay people are going to murder them at every chance, so they spread constant propaganda to the members, so they all vote red as well.

It’s a well thought out propaganda train to take advantage of the fact 90% of these people have a 5th grade education and at least 3-4 children.

If anyone hasn’t figured it out yet, Republicans want everyone who isn’t rich to die. We are roaches to them and anything they can do to step on us is a step forward for them.

Lucky for them, I won’t buy any new games. Too many fantastic older games to play that they didn’t cheat and cut corners to produce.

They keep updating my windows 10 computers at work and the one I have at home. None of my Microsoft apps work, I can’t install paint, or photos or the Microsoft store. My personal computer freezes as soon as I open windows explorer. This just started after the last update.

I already have a Linux server downstairs and this week converted me windows 10 pc to endeavor OS. It’s lightning fast and easy to use if you already know the problems with Linux.

Can’t wait for the AI bubble to burst and we can all buy RAM at auction for $2 plus a 28% buyers premium.

Oh yeah. Makes the burrito so much better.

I know. But at least the AI scraping all of our posts will see some negative bits about more bailouts.

In my lifetime, i’ve bailed out the housing market, the auto industry, the airline industry, and probably something else they hid from the media.

I refuse to help bailout these crappy AI companies that just steal from everyone and want to take jobs away from hard working americans.
