You miss their point. The original inhabitants of the British isles are long forgotten and have largely been replaced by invaders, colonists, and immigrants (some listed in OP’s comment) for millennia.
There are no ‘real Brits’. Britain is a multilingual melting pot of different peoples and cultures, and it always has been for as far back as we’ve been able to look in history, the first major immigrations from mainland Europe happening around 4000bc or so.
Maybe you miss their point, perhaps because they didn’t use a /s or something.
In the mind of the racist dingleberries there are white immigrants (including but not limited to Celts, Romans, Normans, Saxons, Vikings) who are ‘real Britons’ and then there are brown immigrants who are clearly not ‘real Britons’, on account of how they don’t look like us but do like spicy food.
Which ones are the “real Britons”? the Celts? the Romans? the Normans? the Saxons?
We need to decide this with a “Great British Brit Off”. I’m sure Channel 4 will commission it.
The decider will be who makes the best curry. The winner gets to claim real Britishness.
