Looks like if you drive down the highway to the next exit, there’s a McDonald’s. Also a Wendy’s, a Hardee’s, and two gas stations.
Only the McDonald’s has an obnoxious sign poking up into the atmosphere.

I was going to say this is pretty normal in the Appalachians. Long stretch of highway though forested hills with a single tall ass sign poking through the canopy from a distance marking restaurants/gas stations at the next exit.
