while I agree with the stated topic of the article, Josh Marshall the author of this article, who also runs talking points memo is a hardcore fan of a certain middle east pseudostate accused of war crimes and ~80 years of racist mass murder of innocents and theft. So I dont beleive a single word he says about any topic. There are cleaner sources to get info from than this sad awful disappointment of a human being and I dont recommend anyone use his site for any purpose. We have to push back in every way we can against these people, including deplatforming them on every topic, not just when they speak of their heartfelt love of war criminal acts and the people that do them. It has to be all the time-- same as we all treat pedophiles.

The obvious is that you get more colonial servant loyalty by not needlessly publicly humiliating the servant and his people, to be able to ask for important favours that are dutifully executed. The mistake of the Iran war could easily have been avoided if smarter allies than Trump could have explained to the dotard that it wasn’t going to work.
