“I work on vendor lock-in, Congressional district contractor allocation, and remote killswitches”
While this is funny, the entire honeypot issue can be avoided if the state sanctioned 1 girlfriend for every guy.
Not so sure about that
No trust me bro, the government deciding on romantic partners and matches is totally not something ripped straight from a mid-tier dystopian novel.
Actually ripped from the German playbook circa 1940.
The SS were given a state sanctioned wife for the purpose of producing as many “Aryan” children as possible.
Plus, a good chunk of men would cheat with a young, attractive woman paying them attention.
You think wet men aren’t tempted by strange?
When arms manufacturers hear that their weapons were used in mass tragedies are they proud their weapons performed well? Do they wish their products would fail more? Or is it all just business?
Living in an area where a lot of these company’s exist and develop this shit, many of them are proud of the way they perform.
Collateral damage
I don’t works in the industry myself but have some insight. ‘Performed as designed’ is a key phrase. The customer, typically the US government, presents a use case and a solution is designed to meet their specs.
It’s oddly mundane and a lot of well engineered shit never gets used.
Cold blooded.
Mass tragedies just means more future customers, for when they want to atrocity back.
I swear this whole “defence engineers get honeypotted” thing is just a recruiting ploy. I have been cheated out of my rightful duplicitous russian waifu
Russia lost it supply of honeypot waifus 30 years ago, I’m afraid
They ended up on a certain island
nah it’s real and multiple idiot americans have been charged over it
us contractors in china, russia and in the states
Buy her some flowers while on a date. If she carries them stems pointing up, then boy, you’re about to make hella rubles
I don’t get it.
There was a famous case of a Soviet spy who got caught by the FBI because of the way he carried his flowers.
In the US, if someone buys flowers, then while walking with them, the person normally carries them with the flowers up, stems down. The ‘normal’ way.
In Russia, to protect the flower tops from rain, snow, cold, and wind, the average person carries the bunch of flowers with the stems facing up/forward, flowers pointing down/back.
This spy bought flowers for some reason, and an FBI agent noticed he carried them the Russian way.
If you ever get a chance to read any of Joe Navarro’s books, he’s a very good writer. I highly recommend “3 Minutes to Midnight”
TIL I’m Russian.
You carry them upside down because flowers are heavy and catch wind. If you let them dangle, they’ll sway instead of snap.
That actually makes good sense. Especially if you’re dealing with the same climate. Next time I buy flowers I’m cosplaying a bit.
TIL I may be a Russian spy
I thought one carries flowers upside down so the water in the stems stays with the flowers instead of dripping out. It keeps them from drying out
🤷
I think its a joke about how she signals her spy handler that she has a drop to make
Okay but like, being a honeypot girl must be really hard because you kinda have to care about a topic to retain information about it. My husband started working with military ships or something like that and whenever he tells me ship facts (that are publicly available, he always cross-references Wikipedia) my eyes just fucking glaze over and I zone out because I have no interest in anything ship-related.
So Lockheed Martin girl must have a special interest in airplanes. It must be so hard to fight the autistic urge to correct a guy who gets his airplane facts wrong.
She don’t have to. Record it via hidden mic, and it’s just an art of asking correctly. Like “Oh I remember something about F35. My professor told <obviously incorrect info> and that’s why it’s worse than…”
Obviously you need to know the subject a bit but mainly you need to know the cognitive tricks.
Ah, good old Cunningham’s law.
That’s how you solicit leaks on War Thunder.
Nah, you just have to make random nerfs to the equipment you’re interested in and claim it’s to maintain realism.
I do though
Yeah i would’ve thought it was hard but there seems to be just that many of them that it apparently can’t be
Her favorite word is “passport.”
She used to work for Setec Astronomy.
Too many secrets
Now I feel old again but at least not alone 😁
russia isn’t bothering with dod when they can just get it from the top
ai scientists is where it’s at now
And with top you mean war thunder forums
didn’t realize war thunder was owned bu the trumps and kushner
I saw Kushner was sent in today to finalize whatever “investment” the Kremlin is going to make in Trump enterprises before our military starts doing their bidding, like we do with Israel and Saudi Arabia.
They arm NASA don’t they? Do you know any cosmonauts?
No. Canada arms NASA.
You have elicited a genuine lol.
If anything she would angle for a straight simple relationship. Get his trust and and have a lot of texting emailing going on. Then send him an email at work with a back door. Hopefully a funny one or interesting one so he shares it.
Then she/they have access to the computer network and data base. If they were smart the target would be in either IT or management so they have more access rights.
Then send him an email at work with a back door
Nah, HUMINT is better, cheaper, and more reliable.
I will after we do things… then just tell her how I fold paper after sex
Start ranting about sprints and how you took 25 story points last sprint and STEVE THAT LAZY BITCH only took 18, but you think on top of it the tshirt sizing of your features was too optimistic, and make her fucking dread the agile.
But key thing is to lead her on a little bit here and there, like if she asks what you work on, just say “oh can’t talk much about it, kinda nuclear related”, so she never gets pulled off your case. And promise to tell her the intimate details and tell her one day you can send her the source code you’re helping integrate.
Then send her bootstrap.css and go into way too much detail about how how you’re aligning buttons for the top secret application
Is this honey potting the honey pot?
Imagine that: you’re a nation and know the enemy wants to steal your secrets by seducing your people. The best way to avoid it is to have them waste as much time as possible on fake targets. So you hire a bunch of lonely nerds who work in totally mundane fields and give them a crash course in looking like they do top secret stuff.
I’d watch that movie.
I’m ready to sacrifice myself for the nation.
Unbelievably cringy
