Social media influencers fighting against extradition to UK where they face rape, sexual assault and other allegations

Social media influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate will remain in jail at least two more weeks until their next hearing as they fight extradition to the United Kingdom, where the brothers are accused of rape and sex trafficking, a federal judge said on Monday.

US magistrate Lauren Louis set a detention hearing for 13 August to determine whether the Tates should stay in jail or be released during what could be a months-long extradition process.

The brothers were not in court on Monday or required to be there and have remained in jail since making a brief court appearance two days after their 18 July arrest.

The Tates have become among the world’s most polarizing internet personalities with their promotion of wealth, male dominance and misogyny through their social media empire. The new allegations are the latest in a long-running international legal saga involving the Tates that has spanned the US, Britain and Romania. The brothers have repeatedly denied wrongdoing.

The brothers have repeatedly denied wrongdoing.

At least one of them has repeatedly bragged about their wrongdoing on video, and given instructions for others on how to also do that wrongdoing, so…

Yo dawg, he’s not denying doing the wrong, just that the wrong he’s doing in his wrongdoing is not wrong.

Aww, shucky darns. Anyway, how’s everyone’s gardens growing? We started getting tomatoes, but with this heat they’ve stopped ripening. And I’ve def. got a skunk picking and eating my tomatoes. I found the burrow. And there’s 2 half eaten tomatoes just outside the burrow this morning. I gotta do something.

My chillies have been absolutely loving this sunshine, had to prune a fair few branches down because they’re reaching the ceiling from their windowsill perch.

Nice, what kinds are you growing? I’ve got some sweets, and on the hot side habanero, scotch bonnet, and aji rojo. If all goes well I’ll be makin’ hot sauce, soon.

I’ve got a yellow habañero sprouting, some scotch bonnets that have been going for a couple of generations after I rescued the parent plant from a garden centre, and some Rwandan scotch bonnets that I bought as fresh that are growing absolutely massive leaves

I’m very jealous, haven’t had enough to make a decent sauce, most of mine have ended up dried and crushed into fine enough powder that opening the jar makes me sneeze

I used to have a beautiful organic garden, and one of my best animal repellants was peeing on the borders of my garden. One night I would pee on the corners, another night on the borders. It works, and it’s fun!

Yeah shame. I didn’t get the jump on planting I should have this year and decided fuck it I’m just scattering wildflower seeds in all my beds to they have some kind of cover crop. The results have been so spectacular that I might never use the beds for anything else again! Working and working to get a carrot…? What was I thinking!

What kinda basis can they argue against extradition? Its for a crime in the UK so if you did it or not should be argued in a UK court. Not a US one.

Countries frequently only extradite if the crime they would be extraditing for is also a crime in their own jurisdiction.

The basic idea kind of makes sense, like you wouldn’t extradite your own citizen to Indonesia for acting homosexual in public, or to Afghanistan for not wearing Hijab, or to the USA for being antifa, or to Poland for having an abortion.

It just gets annoying when basic moral agreement is a given, but some sort of technicality leads to long delays.

Wondering if the US is going to step in and save them at some point…is it really possible that they are too toxic for even this administration!?

Its said that no one really likes them, the department with control of extradition is headed by a trump fool but who previous to boot licking took a hard line and championed trafficking legislation.

Trump said he doesn’t care for them or something. They are screwed, he does not need a “pedo frees rapists” headline right now.

Somebody asked Levitt and she said no. Not that you can trust her for anything but that is their official position.
