“It’s hard to pretend anymore,” is a strong statement given his profession.
Who REDACTED Ruffalos’ nipples?
Your mock it, but that redaction saved thousands of lives. Most of us can’t handle that sort of beauty.
If you’d ever seen them, you’d understand.
look he calmed his tits okay? have you seen him without his tits calmed?
Ruffalo’s got balls while other celebs are too afraid of speaking out and being accused as “woke”.
Mark Ruffalo being interviewed by Zeteo:
What’s up with the title? What is it we can’t escape? The rise of fascism?
I think it’s saying you can’t escape Twitter posts being reposted everywhere.
Like this utterly valueless reply from @vincedmonroy, when we could have just had a quote of Marc Ruffalo’s statement from the Oscars, which other commenters have posted.
I’m glad some actors are speaking up, but holy shit it’s taking most of them forever. It’s been a fucking year and you already knew who he was …
You never know when you neef a pardon from the pedophile
That first bit is written really oddly: states some terrible stuff and then says “as much as I love all this” lol
It feels like the “this” in question is likely the golden globe awards, where he was being interviewed.
My guess is there was an accompanying gesture to serve as an antecedent
Yeah considering everything he said I’m sure it was, it just reads kinda funny.
he’s saying “This country sucks ass, you host a good party tho”
I liked Ruffalo before I knew how he felt about ‘politics’. I like him even more now.
Isn’t these print screens from the nazi-pedophile platform X? People who find it normal to use such platform are the reason why fascism is becoming a reality on the streets as well.
This one is Threads not X.
Which is still fascist adjacent with Meta/Zuckerberg part of the Oligarch
Ah ok, thanks.
Never thought much about him, now I’m a fan. Being a moral American should be rewarded these days.
He was great in Shutter Island.
He’s been great in more things than I can count, but I never look for him. I never say “Look, a new Ruffalo movie, let’s check it out,” the way I do for DiCaprio or Gyllenhall, or a few others.
I’ll be changing that somewhat in the future. I probably won’t watch it just because of him, but being in the cast will definitely make me look on the film more favorably.
That’s funny, because I view Gyllenhall exactly that same way.
Did Gyllenhall have some similar political sentiment or is your opinion just based on his past performances? I recognize him when I see him but don’t really see him as a reason to be excited/turned off for a movie.
No, I just never saw him as the sort of actor that demanded much notice. He does fine work, but isn’t remarkable IMO, not like Ruffalo is.
I saw Gyllenhall in a limited Broadway run of Sunday in the Park with George, and he was amazing. He would have easily won the Tony that year, but the production took itself out of contention.
I’ve been a big fan ever since. I’ll go see anything he does.
That’s definitely 5 Mark Ruffalos!
Can’t not read it in the voice
Fuck off with these political posts, I want to pretend this isn’t happening
Get off the internet. Seriously, log off, it’ll do your mental health good.
No, I’m sick of everybody around me caring about other people. I want the entire internet to cater to my personal desire to stick my head in the sand. I’m white, straight, and middle class, so why should I have to hear about any of the bad things happening to poor people?
You started strong, but you made the trolling way too obvious only one reply in.
I don’t think he’s trolling, I think he’s just overdoing the satire
No, I’m trolling. I’m Lemmy’s first and only left wing troll. I expose people to weakened versions of right wing propaganda to strengthen their bullshit immune systems. Now your mind is better at resisting apoliticism
You need to be more nuanced imo, I don’t think being super obvious will do what you want it to. Appreciate the sentiment anyway
OK, Bill
Keep pushing back.
I totally see him as a Pedro Pascal v2.0.
He is the OG Pedro Pascal.
I think you’re right. Pedro’s explosion to fame came after Mark’s. Both had a similarly long and slow start to their careers beforehand. Both also seem fairly down to earth everyman types
what happened to v1.0?
They made him wear a helmet!
Boomers have been a cancer upon the world.
Because people in power often happen to be boomers? You can replace “boomers” with literally any other common denominator and, while still stupid, probably anything would be more accurate - try “men” or “white people”.
Maybe, but boomers willfully sacrificed the long-term survivability of this planet for short-term profit when confronted with climate change, triggered this political hellscape by electing Regan, and have lingered in power for like 50 years. So, Boomers have had an outsized impact.
Hard words coming from a man who once portrayed a power hungry, world wrecking insect in a human suit. I bet he hates Edgar now.
Do you know what acting is
Uhhh, Mark Ruffalo wasn’t in Men in Black lol
Have I got the wrong guy? It looked like him in the thumbnail. I don’t watch many movies or know many actors. I accept my downvotes. I suppose I earned them.
Vincent D’onofrio was in Men in Black.
Mark Ruffalo’s most famous role at this point in Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the MCU (except for the one with Edward Norton).

Fair enough. Super hero movies miss me entirely. I can take my lumps.
It’s possible he might be able to punch the man who was that character in MiBin his next Marvel movie.
